I’m honored

A while ago, I was awarded the Rockin Girl Blogger award by a lovely blogger friend, Catherine. But for many reasons, including the fact that I sure as hell didn’t FEEL like a Rockin Girl Blogger, I haven’t made mention to it here, although I did thank her. :)

I really am honored when someone likes my blog enough to make mention of it in a good way and even more so if they want to bestow honors on it! I really enjoy blogging, even if it can’t always be on the subject matter that I’d originally hoped it would be. But this is, after all, my life that I’m blogging about, and no one is kinky ALL the time… well… at least not most of us LOL

So, then it took me a while to figure out who I would like to pass the award on to. I knew, of course, that my best friend angel would definitely qualify - she rocks in so many ways. (Even if she *IS* 10 yrs younger than me *hmph*)

Another “given” would be Peg, because she’s been here since day 1 too.

Melinda, personifies CoOl with her blog about everything BUT sex LOL

His Mija, a relative newcomer to my blog, has shown such compassion during my recent struggles. That totally rocks, to me.

and of course, finally, SkyWindows - she & I seem to have alot in common as well, even if she has way too much on her plate right now.

So there’s my choices for this award, which truly isn’t just another graphic to throw on my blog, but means something to me. :)

15 days

  • Just 15 days to go until my newest heir to the throne is brought, screaming, into this world. Hard to believe, eh?
  • You Were Nice This Year
You Were 25% Naughty, 75% Nice Okay, so you weren’t *entirely* nice this year But Santa doesn’t expect a modern girl to be perfect You were good enough - and you’ll be rewarded for it

How Naughty (Or Nice) Were You This Year?

  • I’m still hoping to hear from someone about a backup blogging site that allows you to import. C’mon people.
    • I hope that Melinda got her heat back this weekend.
    • Prince was awesome in the superbowl halftime show. He’s still hot after all these years. I actually stood in line at 5am to get tickets for his show 23 years ago.. and they sold out before I got any.
    • I taught a one-on-one eBay class yesterday, despite the fact that it was 10 degrees out, and I’m , ya know, 99 months pregnant. But the lady was very appreciative, so that was nice. She even called to make sure I got home ok.
    • My mom & dad are coming up for the baby’s birth :)
    • My friend angel is sending me a paddle that’s even got my name on it. I can’t wait.
    • Although it wasn’t a holiday, my mom turned 60 this weekend, and my parents also celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary. I can’t possibly fathom that!
    • My 3 yr old has officially joined the ranks of the homeschooled.
    • My kids keep coming up with names for the baby.
    • While I haven’t been able to be particularly kinky for a while, I still have kinky thoughts, so I consider that to be my reason why I keep my blog named this :)
    • Even though we’re expecting a very nice tax refund, I cannot think of more than 2 things that I want to buy when we get the money :) One of them is a freezer, the other - a *good* frying pan.
    • I quit smoking 16 years ago and according to quitnet.com, I’ve saved $60,000.
    • I was really upset by this news story about this woman who was refused medical treatment while being arrested, and she miscarried her baby. Now, while she obviously was probably already losing the baby, having to go through that whole night KNOWING it was happening, would be awfully cruel.
    • Some people try to guess my password for my password protected postings. I tell them that’s like trying to hack my blog.
    • This other story about this couple who had sextuplets and then refused to allow them to have what could have been life-saving medical treatments that would have saved TWO of the babies - also pisses me off. You want them so bad, you do what you have to, religion or not, to SAVE THEM.
    • While I can’t wait for my pregnancy to be finished and the baby to be here, I know I’ll miss being pregnant, at least a little bit.
    • I have read every single (fiction) book by Koontz, Patterson, King, & Grafton.
    • In hindsite, I wish I hadn’t fought so hard to avoid a c-section with my son, thus putting both our lives in danger.
    • After almost 12 years, I can say without a doubt that our relationship is stronger than it’s ever been.
    • And the sex ain’t bad either ;)

And in case you’re wondering, I’ve just used every category I have on my blog LOL

    *gasp* vanilla????

ice_cream_vanilla.jpgI’d grown a bit concerned when I noticed I was getting hits to my blog from someplace called “vanilla edge“. I thought “uhoh”. Of course, I know that my blog has pretty much fallen into the abyss that is vanilla. Of course, I hate that fact, but hey, when it’s not there, it’s not there.

So today, I found myself with some time to peruse some of the wonderful people who have linked to my blog. I decided to check out this “Vanilla Edge”. What a nice surprise to find that it’s NOT a vanilla blog LOL While I haven’t read a whole lot on it (my children just LOVE to read over my shoulder, grrr), what I did read was quite ummm… interesting ;) I urge you to check out the posting about 100 days of chastity, as that even warranted a foward to hubby LOL Not that he’d ever be able to handle 100 days of chastity (ok, who the hell am I kidding - I WOULDN’T BE ABLE TO HANDLE IT EITHER!!). But it was a very ummm… interesting post. I’m adding them to my blogroll, and hopefully will have time to go explore further in the near future.

    do you…

Stumble? My “friend” angel over there at always his turned me on to this little web surfing gem. It’s turned into an addictive form of “you’ve GOT to be kidding me” when you click the stumble button and come across some of the most ridiculous, sometimes most beautiful and sometimes the most insightful websites you will find. I can only say I should smack her ass for showing it to me becuase I find myself “stumbling” when I should be doing other stuff!

So anyways, if you DO stumble, won’t you please befriend me? I’ve only got ONE friend (you guessed it… it’s angel), and that’s just pathetic. LOL One of the best things about this is that you can then see the pages that I’ve liked, and you can go check them out from that page, but you have to friend me first :)

    Hey Peg, check this out

I’ve found a (new to me) writer that has me kinda hooked. I read this first one in 2 days. I now have to wait until TUESDAY for the damned library to reopen so I can grab the next in her FBI series. Apparently, she also likes to write historical (or in my opinion, hysterical) romance.

and now, a word from our sponsors

I’ve decided to bring attention to a good friend of mine’s website that I thought you should see. She & her hubby are awesome people, and I’d love to see this take off for them. So, for everyone who places a link to their site on their blog, I’ll place a link to your site from mine. How’s that??

Anyways, their website features some truly beautiful amber and silver jewelry and , more recently, they’ve also decided to feature their Daylily business on the site as well. As you probably know, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE flowers, so I go to their site daily just to see what is blooming at their house/nursery.

So, please, take a few moments and go visit Amber & Silver. com and tell’em Lady C sent ya :)

Soooo, under one of those darned Blogshares missions, I ran across Greenzap, a new paypal-ish way to pay for stuff on the net.

When you sign up, you get $25 (not cash, but can be used to buy stuff). Then, when you have lots of wonderful FRIENDS (like you) sign up through your link, you get $5 and they get the $25. See where I’m going with this? :D

    Sthita’s homepage

    Sthita’s homepage

So, through yet another Blogshares mission, I came across this site for a music label and I decided to listen to their music while doing stuff in my room. The cd is jazz and was pretty cool to listen to while sorta be-bop/loping around with my daughter and she just thought I was nuts anyways. I prefer my jazz when it’s more active, (I can’t manage to describe things very well this morning), so I preferred their song Ne tente pas le diable to the others available. All in all, was a Coooool experience!
