say something important to someone who reads your blog
angel, you will get through this … you are so much stronger than you know, and you can fight these demons and come out stronger for it, if you’ll just remember that and not let them win.

tagged yet again
I was tagged by AngelBrat a while ago and am just now getting around to thinking about my answers LOL I love getting tagged, though, so here they are – as unthunk as they are
Question number 1: What are three of the stupidest things you’ve done in your life?
- (copying angelbrat) started smoking
- had unprotected sex (with a rather … questionable person) and luckily didn’t catch anything
- protested having a c-section so long that I put us both in jeopardy.
Question number 2: At the current moment, who has the most influence on your life?
- Zachary, who is 100% dependent on ol’ mom for ya know, nourishment, rules my days & my nights. My schedule is his to do with as he wants.\
- But as for things like making decisions, I’d have to say my hubby – my first thought is usually “Well, what would HE think I should do/say/etc.” because I value his opinion… and my sanity lol
Question number 3: If you were given a time machine that functioned, and you were allowed to only pick five people to dine with, who would you pick?
- My kids – in the future, to see that they turn out ok.
- My Nana – I miss her terribly, and would love to talk to her about how I’M doing, since she never got a real chance to meet her great grandchildren. Her Alzheimer’s had already kicked in when I had my 1st.
- My mom – 35 years ago, when she was deciding to marry the bastard that she married – to talk her out of it. Yeah, I know, it’d determine that my brother wasn’t here, but for her to experience what she did… that’s a tough choice.
(that’s 5)
Question number 4: If you had three wishes that were not supernatural, what would they be?
- Financial stability – I don’t need a million dollars – just a steady income that isn’t going anywhere – EVER.
- An extra 3 hours a day
- and of course, to know that my children grow up happy and healthy.
Question number 5: Someone is visiting your hometown/place where you live at the moment. Name two things you regret your city not having, and two things people should really avoid.
- I regret that our town doesn’t have better access to the coast .. the term “can’t get there from here” really applies.
- I also regret that our town doesn’t have a better support system to do things FOR the town, like fireworks on holidays, etc.
- Two things to avoid… that’s tough, being in a small town. I’d avoid Chutters … paying $10/lb for penny candy, just for the “Thrill” of the world’s biggest candy counter is STUPID.
- I’d also avoid the draw to go wading in the river – it’s not as clean as it looks.
Question number 6: Name one event that has changed your life.
- Meeting my hubby. I became a different person after I met him.
Question number 7: Is not a question. It’s a command. Tag five other people.
I dunno if they’ll answer, but I tag Skywindows, her hubby Brahnamin, Angel, Melinda, and a blog new to me, Sexy Momma – no, it’s not mine

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don’t speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want — good or bad. When you’re finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.
Tagged by Tom… well more like interviewed…
Tom, over at The Edge of Vanilla posted some interview questions to me. Here they are, along with my answers.
1) Your blog is named “A Kinky Woman’s Guide to the Universe.” Is this a Douglas Addams reference?
Considering I have no idea who Douglas Addams is, I’d say nope LOL (I’m not very cultured, can you tell?)
2) You seem to be happy living in a rural area. How would your life be different if you were living in a big city?
Well, we did live in a “city” when we first lived together – and hubby hated it and was miserable there. So I’d say it’d be miserable again LOL If we ever moved from here, it would be to a place similar in landscape and population, that’s for sure.
3) You keep talking about how your husband changed last year. What about you? Did you change or have to change to accommodate this? How is your relationship different?
I think we both changed. He became more open, honest, caring. I became less of a bitch. I was a bitch, admittedly, because I was not getting what I needed from him emotionally. Once he opened up and realized that he was waiting for life to begin, instead of living it, he really gave us both a new life.
4) Being a full time mother of three little ones has to seriously cut back on the kink activities. How do you handle that?
Good question. At the same time that our family has been growing, our local scene has pretty much dried up and died. So I don’t know what’ll happen once I can get back to leaving the house without the entourage.
5) Are you as mellow in real life as you seem to be from your blog?
I try. I think people take things in life way too seriously. I try not to. I don’t always succeed, but I like to laugh, have fun, LIVE.
15 days
- Just 15 days to go until my newest heir to the throne is brought, screaming, into this world. Hard to believe, eh?
-
You Were Nice This Year
You Were 25% Naughty, 75% Nice Okay, so you weren’t *entirely* nice this year But Santa doesn’t expect a modern girl to be perfect You were good enough – and you’ll be rewarded for it
-
Your Celebrity Boob Twin:
Anna Nicole Smith
- I hope that Melinda got her heat back this weekend.
- Prince was awesome in the superbowl halftime show. He’s still hot after all these years. I actually stood in line at 5am to get tickets for his show 23 years ago.. and they sold out before I got any.
- I taught a one-on-one eBay class yesterday, despite the fact that it was 10 degrees out, and I’m , ya know, 99 months pregnant. But the lady was very appreciative, so that was nice. She even called to make sure I got home ok.
- My mom & dad are coming up for the baby’s birth
- My friend angel is sending me a paddle that’s even got my name on it. I can’t wait.
- Although it wasn’t a holiday, my mom turned 60 this weekend, and my parents also celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary. I can’t possibly fathom that!
- My 3 yr old has officially joined the ranks of the homeschooled.
- My kids keep coming up with names for the baby.
- While I haven’t been able to be particularly kinky for a while, I still have kinky thoughts, so I consider that to be my reason why I keep my blog named this
- Even though we’re expecting a very nice tax refund, I cannot think of more than 2 things that I want to buy when we get the money
One of them is a freezer, the other – a *good* frying pan.
- A really awesome homeschooling site – IknowThat.com
- I quit smoking 16 years ago and according to quitnet.com, I’ve saved $60,000.
- I was really upset by this news story about this woman who was refused medical treatment while being arrested, and she miscarried her baby. Now, while she obviously was probably already losing the baby, having to go through that whole night KNOWING it was happening, would be awfully cruel.
- Some people try to guess my password for my password protected postings. I tell them that’s like trying to hack my blog.
- This other story about this couple who had sextuplets and then refused to allow them to have what could have been life-saving medical treatments that would have saved TWO of the babies – also pisses me off. You want them so bad, you do what you have to, religion or not, to SAVE THEM.
- While I can’t wait for my pregnancy to be finished and the baby to be here, I know I’ll miss being pregnant, at least a little bit.
- I have read every single (fiction) book by Koontz, Patterson, King, & Grafton.
- In hindsite, I wish I hadn’t fought so hard to avoid a c-section with my son, thus putting both our lives in danger.
- After almost 12 years, I can say without a doubt that our relationship is stronger than it’s ever been.
- And the sex ain’t bad either
And in case you’re wondering, I’ve just used every category I have on my blog LOL

First things first from Melinda.
Who was your first love?
Well, the guy whom I THOUGHT I loved was a 18 yr old named Dean who turned out to be a not-so-very-nice-guy. He thought it’d be a good idea to get a 15 yr old (namely ME) pregnant to prevent my parents from breaking us up. Nice, eh? Luckily, things didn’t work out in his favor! It still amazes me that even at that age, I was so naive! I hope that he’s got no hair, a beer belly and 12 kids running around right now. It was later discovered that he liked to call himself the virginator (yeah, my first time and it was w/that).
Who was your first kiss and when?
Well, again, it would depend on definition. First peck on the cheek was end of 8th grade social dance with the dude who would, 10 years later, become hubby #1. First “real” kiss was with the guy above, and that was on the rocks overlooking Narragansett Sound on Block Island, RI.
Who was your first prom date?
Same guy who got the first peck on the cheek, eventually hubby #1. We had broken up for about 2 years (from end of 9th till nearly end of 11th grades) – and had become friendly enough to agree to a prom date for each other – turned into 4 proms and 15 years.
Who was your first roommate?
That would again be hubby #1 – I didn’t go to college, so when I moved out, it was with him for 3 years before wedding.
What was your first job?
My parents owned a restaurant when I was younger, so I waited tables there. First “pro” job was in 11th grade, when I worked through a work release program at school and I worked at a hospital. Nope, not candy striping – word processor!
What was your first car?
First car I owned was a brand new, 1988 Hyundai Excel. I loved that car and truly ran it into the ground!
When did you go to your first funeral?
The first one I remember would be my grandfather when I was about 9. I didn’t understand what was going on, really, but I knew that everyone was sad (he was killed – some believed on purpose).
How old were you when you first moved away from your hometown?
That would be ummm 28. I moved to Tennessee from RI.
Who was your first-grade teacher?
Not even the slightest idea.
When you snuck out of the house for the first time, who was it with?
I never had to sneak out – I was a good girl and was either allowed out or not. LOL Of course, I was, 99% of the time, babysitting for my younger sibs, so I couldn’t just leave.
Who was the first person to send you flowers?
Probably hubby #1, although it only happened maybe twice in those 15 years.
When was the first time you got drunk?
I was 16 and it was New Year’s eve. I was at my best friend’s house (with my youngest sibs) and we were both bummed that our bf’s hadn’t called, so we started hitting the champagne. Yeah, yeah – it was stupid, and we both paid for it DEARLY lol
What was the first thing you did this morning?
Watched Lucky Louie and ate a cookie.
another meme
Got this from AngelBrat, via Elis.
What are you proud of?
This will sound vain, but I’m proud of myself, for being able to somehow keep it together enough to teach my son how to read, write and be the person that he already is, with morals and standards.
What time do you wake up in the morning?
Depends … sometimes, I sleep till hubby gets up at 6:30… other times, I’m up at 3am, 4am, 5am – there’s never a set time for me, no matter what the day.
If there was one person from the past that you could go back and talk to who would it be?
My nana, most definitely
