Maturity

I suppose that after 12 years, it’s more than obvious that what may have been there once, a very long time ago is not there anymore with my ex-husband. But what I’ve come to realize in just the last few days is how little there ever really was, when I compare my relationship to my (now) hubby with what I recall I had with ex.

It just amazes me that I was ever attracted to him at all. LOL

Because now he … and I don’t mean this to sound mean, but he repulses me LOL Time just hasn’t been good to him (not that I’m saying in ANY way that it’s been good to me either), but it’s not just the physical changes. I guess it’s just really shown me how much better suited I am to my favorite ma’an (even with his challenging faults LOL) and how much I love him, perhaps because of those faults. Even after 12 years, his breath on my neck still gives me shivers. Even after 12 years, a single touch and I’m like jello. Maybe not ALL THE TIME - because of my own physical issues - but emotionally, I’m still so much more HIS than I ever was the other guy.

Maybe it’s a matter of maturity. I grew up with the other guy, and so for that time in my life, that was ok. But growing up with someone and growing old with someone are two totally different things, and I’m so very very glad that I got them in the right order. LOL

So for all my bitching and complaining about my hubby, I also have to say how much he still knocks my socks off in all the right ways (except when he’s pissing me off LOL)

Hey, can you tell the Zoloft is working? LOL

and on a totally separate note - can someone tell me what the hell would have been the attraction between Bill and Nicki on Big Love?? PLEASE? LOL

Have you seen this show? I originally started watching it because we found out, rather by accident (thanks to Howard Stern) that one of our scene “Friends” was now working out there. You could have knocked me over with a feather! So I tuned in, just to say “no fucking way!’ but there she was! (to be fair, she’s not been seen except in a cursory, in the background way, but is “featured” on their website quite prominently). But then I kept watching!

In the past, I’d always viewed prostitution as I’m sure most people do. That it was the lowest of the low forms of abuse of women, that they would literally have to sell their souls in order to survive or at least get by. And sure, there are those out there that are “putting themselves through college”, etc. but in MOST cases, it’s a case of a woman hitting the bottom of the societal barrel.

Not THESE women.

THESE women are actually choosing this. Some of them go out there, make some SERIOUS money, and then go back to their lives. They supplement their income by sucking, fucking and making some guy’s fantasy come true. As overused as the statement is, that’s empowerment!

I’d always viewed prostitution, even “legal” prostitution, as dirty and sad. But this show has proven that I guess it’s not ALWAYS like that.

And that Denis Hof is hot. And to be fair to my bi-side, so is Isabella ♥

As an aside, through circumstance, I haven’t spoken to that “scene friend” since we found out, but I hope she’s ok.

Goodbye Tony Soprano, we’ll miss you… heLLO Big Love! :D

YES, I admit it - I LOVE Tony Soprano.  James Gandolfini is just hot, in my book.  But specifically, as Tony, he’s awesome. I’m gonna miss him. *sniffle*

 However…

Big Love comes back on tonight.  Woohoo!  How hard is it to be THAT guy, 3 wives, 3 houses, 8? kids.  Nope, wouldn’t want to be him LOL (pms x 3… No Thanks)

 And Rescue Me comes back this week too.  Dennis Leary is another of those guys you love to hate.   And of course, The Shield ended last week.  oh, but I do like me some Michael Chiklis. 

If you watch any and all of these shows, you’ll notice one thing holds true for all these guys.

They like sex. They like it raw, hard and fast.

Geez, all these bad boys, is it any wonder I’m sharing my life with my own bad boy?

I’d like to see Tony Soprano down on his knees, though… begging to be allowed to kiss my foot

• My baby boy turns 100 days old today. Hard to believe it’s gone that fast.
• That damned bug bite, and the 5 others I had, itched like a mofo for four freakin days.
• I just spent several days moving my baby blog - turned family blog, to one of my own domains and will probably do the same for this blog once I decide on a domain name.
• I got stopped the other day (expired inspection sticker) and damn, the Statie was cute.
• No, I didn’t proposition him.
• Yes, I got a ticket but won’t have to pay it if I can get the car inspected by Sunday
• Apparently, Donald Trump got pissy because NBC decided not to put The Apprentice on the Fall schedule, and went all Rosie on them, deciding not to do the show at all anymore. Does that mean NBC is Fired? And more importantly, does ANYONE care???
• Another post-partum woman decided to off her kids and, thankfully, herself - and one of the kids - the newest one - survived THE HANGING. All I can imagine is what that little girl is gonna think when she gets older.

Big sad face. I can’t believe they killed off Lost’s Charlie (for good). He’s such a cute character - ok, he’s not all that much cute in his druggie sense, but ya know, he’s cute. I can’t believe they killed him off. Yeah, big deal, he’s a hero. He’s a DEAD hero, dammit LOL

E Online has an interview with the actor, Dominic Monaghan, and apparently, he was tired of being a supporting player, without ever having the chance to lead the story. Ah well - can’t blame him, I suppose.

I’d pretty much lost faith in this show, and had been wondering how’d they’ll ever be able to drag out this story line for another 3 years but last night’s finale at least gave us some clues. Yay *sorta*

So, I’ve been watching all the season finales of shows that I watch. Some are sad, and some are rather goofy or just plain STUPID.

Man waving around unstable dynamite (US) while standing next to BOX of (US), about 6 feet away from other poor, stupid people. Man go BOOM. Strangely, though, man doesn’t go splat. Box of US doesn’t go boom, nor does it catch any of the man who did. Nor does the poor, stupid people. Where did the BOOM man go? Did he vaporize? And if it truly were that big of a boom, why didn’t the whole damned BOX go?

Now, I really do LOVE this show. It’s one show we specifically stop doing everything we are doing to go watch it. But COME ON people. Yeah, Yeah, so it’s on at 8pm. The man went BOOM. Doesnt’ showing that he just disappears make it more likely that kids, upon coming across 200 yr old dynamite in the jungles of some deserted, tropical island with rapid polar bears running around, will just pick it up and wave it around, figuring hey, I’ll just DISAPPEAR!? Why not show them getting blown to BITS (ala CSI)! THAT would deter them! Click for more more —>
Ok so anyways, I’m feeling better now that I got that off my chest.

Oh, and the guy who dies on that wifey show, was double-timing them because he BELONGS on West Wing. So it was just a matter of time. Of course, they DID Have to kill off the only KINKY one on the damned show LOL

He was a subbie who liked to be trampled, apparently. That was a fun episode.

Just like CSI A few times this past season, they had a pro domme who ran a cyber-sub shop. But she was portayed in a pretty GOOD light, for once, and William Peterson’s character DEFINITELY had a twinkle in his eye for her. *EG*

CSI-NY had a show where the guy built bondage furniture. Ok, so that wasn’t quite in such a good light but there’s bad people in EVERY walk of life. Still, it showed that people are watching KINKY and the sponsors are allowing it… yay.

Soooooo anyways, I suppose I could work on that story now No promises, of course, but maybe.
