Well, that bites

I bought my domain and then paid my $10 to have wordpress redirect to my new domain - except that isn’t what they DO - they redirect my domain to here - which isn’t what I wanted - dammit. So please, change your bookmarks and feeds to LadyCalliah.com as soon as possible, because I will be closing this blog at the end of October. Thanks for your help & support.

I’ve finally learned how to make word press templates, so I’m now on the lookout for some cool *free* graphics to use for lifestyle-themed blogs.

one step at a time

So this week, things really came to a head, emotionally, for me.  I don’t really know why - nothing’s really changed that drastically. Maybe it’s just the lack of sleep - I’d begun to get used to the baby sleeping better at night - then when he didn’t - which was totally my fault, it threw me.  But it sucked.  And I got to a place where I could see myself really going too far, so I called the doctor and got an appointment to get changed from the celexa (which really isn’t indicated for breastfeeding) to zoloft. Hubby didn’t like it and essentially stopped talking to me.

Oh well - he’ll get over it

So I went , talked to the new doc and she gave me the prescription. Got it filled, took one yesterday. Made me very sleepy all day - made the baby sleepy too. Gonna take it at night from now on and see what happens.

So a month or so ago, I changed my IM display picture to this:

Hubby IM’s me from work and we’re talking, and I say “Hey, look what I found” and turn on that display pic.

He says “is she there at the house? I’ll be right home”

LOL

He eventually asked me to take it off cuz it was so distracting and made him want a glass of milk.

I’ve updated some of my links, blogrolled some new ones and just, in general, screwed around this morning. I cleaned up my corner of my room last night so at least I don’t have to roll my chair over dried out baby wipes (clean, but she likes to take them out and play with them, so then they wind up like so much tumbleweedy stuff in my room) LOL

In any case, does anyone know what’s going on with Suki & Sanyo? I miss their absolutely ADORABLE bloggings, and they haven’t posted in like 3 weeks They were getting ready to meet someone, so I hope they’re ok.

It’s amazing how quickly you can get attached to people on the internet! I know this intimately, since that’s how I met hubby, 10 years ago.. you know, back when it really WAS unusual LOL

IN any case, I hope they’re ok. I’ll be back later, perhaps to work on that story

I’ve been a reader since forever. I cannot even begin to fathom the number of books I’ve bought, but it’s in the 100s at least. Before I found the LIBRARY
2. What is the last book I bought?

Truthfully, the last book I bought were books for my kids. The latest were Disney books like Bambi, etc. I’m trying to instill a love of reading into them as well, so they’re well on their way to owning hundreds too. Oops, I lied - got my amazon.com shipment today and so my newest is “Saving Dinner the Low Carb Way” by Leanne Ely (a flylady thing)

3. Last book I read?

I believe the last book I read was The 5 People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom. Was really interesting to see how our lives are often so interthreaded.

4. 5 books that mean something to me.

tough question. I guess I’d have to say the ones that I’m waiting practically breathlessly waiting for the next installments by Sue Grafton & Patricia Cornwell! When you get disappointed cuz you’re at the end of their series and there’s nothing left, they’ve left an impression!

I aptly named them “pictures to piss off my neighbors” and they’re on my photoblog HERE. Guess what THEY did.

I was sitting here a little while ago, filling out some questions that I’m COPYING from angelbrat’s blog, and I hear my hubby talking to someone. Since this is highly unusual, I went down and who is standing there, but a town police officer.

THEY CALLED THE FUCKING COPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They called last night, but the officer didn’t see any rush in coming to check it out. Told them that we’re not doing anything wrong, that there’s no expectation of privacy when you’re outside, etc. Told us not to worry, there was nothing wrong with what we’re doing. My hubby offered to show him the pictures, the computer, the camera, everything. The officer declined it all, saying he just had to come talk to us, to basically finish the report. He took hubby’s name, our addy & phone number and again told us we’re not doing anything wrong.

I KNOW WE’RE NOT. And I’ll be damned if I’m going to stop using my $250 friggin camera because this f’ing BITCH has nothing else to do with her Friday night than call the police on someone taking pictures of the fucking SKY.

O M G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’M just SO pissed off that this bitch did this. If this shit ends up in the papers, I will sue this bitch for every tiny thing she owns. God, I wish I knew her email.

misc ramblings

Will someone please tell me when Spring will get here????

It’s been 2 months since the ‘official’ arrival of Spring. Next weekend marks the “unofficial” start to summer. And yet, it’s still hitting the low 30’s here at night. My seedlings are sitting in their pots outside saying to me, from under their covers “fuck NO, we’re NOT coming out in this weather. Are you CRAZY?” sheesh. Picky lil fuckers.

We have lots to do this weekend… just stupid lil things, but I’ll bet you anything they won’t all get done. I wish I had the energy and the inspiration to get eveything done, but oh well.

I’ve been thinking about writing up one of my scenes I’ve done, seeing as this was supposed to be about my kinky life. The problem is, I’m not much of a story-teller, and I think it’ll probably go too long, etc. I dunno… we’ll see.

Has anyone else noticed that there’ve been several blogs that’ve just seemingly disappeared this week? Lesbian Leather & Love Me or Blow Me are two on my list that have poofed. I wonder what’s going on?
Then, of course, there’s the whole “haven’t blogged in over a week” thing that sets me to wondering if they’re OK, did someone get hurt, etc. Sheesh, this blogging thing sure is frustrating LOL

I admitted to a Domme friend of mine yesterday that 1) I do bottom from time to time, 2) I thought she was a MAJOR bitch until she let down her defenses enough to let me in and 3) I’m blogging. If she reads this, I hope she’s smiling because she’s had a couple of rough weeks and needs a smile.

Well, I suppose I’ll go see about getting my troop breakfast so we can begin our day. We’re supposed to go look at a house that a friend of hubby’s from work is selling. It’s on 6-1/2 acres, on a lake. I don’t WANT to live on a lake, but I sure as hell want to get out of here. She’s a sweet lady, and we’re hoping she might consider letting us rent to own kind of deal. Something..ANYTHING…to get the hell out of this place.

So that’s what the deal is with that Ms. Bitch thing over there in my links. If you like the graphics, you can buy something with it on there. lol Pretty simple, pretty basic. So we’ll see how many people want to celebrate their bitch
As well, I can do any other words - and edit the item that you want. Doesn’t matter t me. Just gotta upload the image and they do all the work. Neat, huh? They produce it, ship it, everything. I just sit back and collect the big bucks (ok like $1 per item LOL)
